SAN DIEGO - San Diego State is one victory away from their third consecutive Region Team Indoor Championship following a 4-0 victory over Brigham Young in the semifinal round Friday in Las Vegas. The Aztecs will face Boise State in the championship match on Saturday.
The tournament is a qualifying event that sends the winner to Louisville, Ky. as one of 16 teams to compete in the National Team Indoor Championship in February. San Diego State has represented the region in the national championship each of the last two seasons.
The Aztecs claimed the doubles point and then received straight-set victories in singles play from Ryan Redondo, Daniel Jung and Valentino Pest.
Boise State advanced to the championship match with a 4-3 victory over New Mexico.
