LOS ANGELES - Seventh-seeded San Diego State captured seventh place at the 2002 MPSF Women's Water Polo Championships at USC's McDonald Swim Complex with 9-8 win against No. 8 Hawaii.
Junior Amber Prestegard led the Aztecs with four goals. Casey Finnegan added three more, and Dominique Delgado and Ashleigh May each scored one. Heather Stiles recorded nine saves in the cage.
Stanford and UCLA will play for the championship, Sunday afternoon.
San Diego State finishes the season with a 20-15 record, and went 7-8 in MPSF play.
