LONG BEACH, Calif. - Casey Finnegan scored two goals and Heather Stiles recorded 11 saves as the 12th-ranked Aztec women's water polo team beat 17th-ranked Long Beach State 7-5 on Sunday afternoon on the Long Beach campus.
Holly Hartzell, Beth Merlo, Dominique Delgado, Amber Prestegard and Lisa Weise scored one goal each in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match.
The win marks the fourth consecutive for the Aztecs and improves their record to 9-6, 2-1 in the MPSF.
The Aztecs will head north next weekend to Berkeley to take on California on Saturday and to Stockton for a match-up with the University of the Pacific on Sunday. Both games are scheduled for noon.
