LOS ANGELES - The 40th-ranked San Diego State men's tennis team was a 5-2 loser Tuesday afternoon in a match with fifth-ranked UCLA in Westwood. The Bruins represented the fifth top 10 opponent the Aztecs have faced in the young season.
San Diego State picked up one point in doubles play with the teams of Oliver Maiberger and Ryan Redondo, along with Valentino Pest and Felix Hardt, picking up the victories. The lone point for SDSU in singles play came at No. 6 where Gabe Coren was a three-set winner.
SDSU is now 1-4 against the top 10 this season. San Diego State will travel to Pepperdine for a match on Friday.
