SAN DIEGO - For the second straight season the San Diego State football team will hold its annual Aztec Family Day at Tony Gwynn Stadium on the San Diego State campus.
The event, which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18th, includes an Aztec football scrimmage, a player autograph session, and an interactive fun zone that allows fans to compete against Aztec coaches and players. Once again, the event is free to the public and concessions, including one-dollar Papa John's pizza slices and soda, will be available.
Aztec players are requesting that fans bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal to the event. The toys will be collected and used by the players during scheduled Children's Hospital visits throughout the year.
The gates at Tony Gwynn Stadium will open at 9 a.m., with the scrimmage scheduled to get underway at approximately 9:30 a.m. The autograph session will end the day at noon.
