SDSU Athletics To Offer Summer Camps For Kids

SAN DIEGO - San Diego State athletics will be holding several sport specific camps for children this summer. Along with the popular Steve Fisher basketball camp for boys and Barb Smith basketball camp for girls, SDSU also offers camps for softball, boy's soccer and boys' and girls' volleyball.

The NCAA west region runner-up Aztec softball program will hold a pitching and catching camp from June 19-21 and a hitting camp from July 10-12. The pitching and catching camp includes instruction from pitcher Sandra Durazo, who led the Aztecs to the NCAA regional finals in May. For more information contact, Aztec softball at (619) 594-1952.

The SDSU women's volleyball program offers two camps. The All Skills Camp will be held from July 30-Aug. 3 and is open to boys and girls in fifth through 12th grade and the Max Volleyball Camp from July 9-13 for ages 12-18 (not yet graduated from high school). The Steve Fisher Individual Skill Development Basketball Camp will have two sessions, June 18-22 and June 24-28. For information call, (619) 594-6249.
