HONOLULU-- No. 8 San Diego State captured seventh place at the 2001 MPSF Women's Water Polo Championships at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex in Honolulu with a 7-6 overtime win against No. 7 UC Santa Barbara.
Freshman Holly Hartzell scored the game-winner with 28 seconds left in the first sudden-death ovetime period. Senior Kelly Falcone added four goals for the Aztecs, while sophomore Amber Prestegard had one.
Freshman Ashley Zabel had 10 goalie saves for the SDSU and junior Heather Stiles had five.
