SUNRIVER, Ore. - The San Diego State women's golf team is in third with a 592 (300-296) after the second round of the Mountain West Conference Women's Golf Championship at the Meadows Course (Par 71/5,851) at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
SDSU is four strokes behind Colorado State (592), who jumped in front of the Aztecs by shooting a 290 in the second round after trailing the Aztecs by two at the conclusion of the first round. New Mexico has held the lead for two rounds shooting a 578 (293-285). Brigham Young is in fourth with a 603 and Wyoming is in fifth with a 629.
The Aztecs have three competitors in the top ten. Senior Jo Clingan leads the Aztecs in fourth with a 144 (72-72). Junior Asa Jankler is just three strokes behind in fifth with a 147 (72-75). Junior Heather Rollo turned in the next best Aztec finish in ninth with a 151 (77-74). Elise Kase of New Mexico leads the field with a three-under-par 139 (71-68).
The final round will be begin at 8 a.m. (PST) Wednesday morning.
