Track and Field Squad Continues Action At Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - San Diego State sophomore Jennifer Stakiw (1:03.89) placed third and senior Marisa Robinson (1:05.41) took sixth in the 400-meter hurdles as the Aztecs continued competition at the 2001 Florida Relays, Friday.

Sophomores Melinda Smedley finished seventh in the 100 meters with a time of 12.32 and Jini Hogg turned in season-best 56.43 to place seventh in the 400.

Junior Daveeta Shepherd also posted a solid performance for SDSU, running sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.32.

A pair of Aztec relay teams turned in top-5 finishes, placing fourth in the 4x200 meters and third in the distance medley relay.

Competition wraps up at the 2001 Florida Relays on Saturday with the Aztecs' best doing battle against the nation's elite in the invitational portion of the meet.
