FULLERTON - Bolstered by top-10 finishes by senior Sophia Hawker (fifth) and sophomore Kylie Edwards (eighth), the San Diego State cross country team finished second at the Cal State Fullerton Jammin' Invitational today.
Hawker, a Grossmont High alum, was the first Aztec to cross the finish line in 18:15.90. Edwards finished her first career cross country race with a time of18:39.80.
UCLA's Christina Bowen won the women's individual competition, finishing with a time of 17:34.30.
SDSU will return to action by hosting the Aztec Invitational on Sept. 16th at Balboa Park. Start time is slated for 8 a.m.
