San Diego - With three runners finishing in the top-35, the San Diego State women's cross country team turned in an impressive fourth place finish at the Aztec Invitational today at Balboa Park.
The Aztecs were again led by senior Sophia Hawker, who finished the women's invitational in ninth place with a time of 18:31. Junior Kylie Edwards was the second Aztec to cross the finish line in 18:37, which was 14th overall. Sophomore Alicia Stewart rounded out the trio, finishing 31st with a time of 19:08.
Running unattached, Alisa Rodgers won the women's invite with a time of 17:45.
In the men's invitational, unattached runner Scott Lenegfeld finished in first place with a time of 25:21.
Next week, the Aztecs will travel to Honolulu to compete in the Hawaii Invitational. Start time is 7:15 a.m.
