San Diego State Cross Country Finishes First in Hawai'i

HONOLULU, Hawaii- The San Diego State women's cross country team earned first place honors Saturday at the 13-team Hawaii Invitational.

SDSU placed three runners-Kylie Edwards (18:20), Sophia Hawker (18:23), and Alicia Stewart (18:50)- in the top 10 finishing third, fourth, and ninth, respectively.

This is the best finish of the year for freshman Kylie Edwards.

The remainder of the Aztec cross country team competed at the Riverside Cross Country Invitational, where they placed eighth in the 21-team field. The top finisher was Allison Brown, who placed ninth with a time of 19:23.

Next week the Aztecs will be in Palo Alto, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational.
