Water Polo Falls to California in Collegiate Nationals Quarterfinals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The San Diego State women's water polo team lost to California, 7-2, in quarterfinal action of the Collegiate National Championships in Bloomington, Ind., Friday afternoon.

The Aztecs had difficulty scoring against a tough Golden Bear defense led by goalkeeper Fana Fuqua. Freshman Amber Prestegard was the only SDSU player who got the ball past Fuqua, who tallied 11 saves on the day.

San Diego State will play UC Davis at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
