No. 6 Women's Water Polo Falls to No. 1 Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. -

San Diego State women's water polo team dropped a 5-1 decision to the No. 1 ranked University of California on Saturday in Berkeley. The loss ended the Aztecs winning streak at three. The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match-up drops SDSU to 4-3 in the conference and 7-9 overall.

The Aztecs lone goal came in the fourth quarter on a penalty shot by Amber Prestegard. The penalty was drawn Larisa Baltgalvis, the Aztecs leading scorer who was held scoreless in the game.

Cal was led by Brooke Spittler and Christen Razzari with two goals apiece. The Bears record improves to 16-2.

SDSU returns to action on Friday, March 31, at San Jose State.
