Swimming Earns Victory Over Pepperdine

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's swimming team defeated Pepperdine, 86-54, but lost to Hawai`i, 92-48, Thursday at SDSU.

Aztec swimmers placed first in seven of 12 events at the meet. Lisa Beebe won the 500 and 1000 freestyle, Meghan Casillan finished on first in both the 100 and 200 backstroke, Heather DeFelice earned top honors in the 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley and Tara Johnson won the 200 butterfly.

Next up for the Aztecs will be conference-rivals UNLV and Air Force on Saturday, Jan. 29th, in Las Vegas.
