Scott Horvath came to in 2000 San Diego State and joined the athletic department in 2006.
Horvath serves as the department's information technology coordinator and has been working with the football coaches' communications on game days since 2003.
The Newark, Ohio, native previously was an IT consultant for Business Services and Internet Commerce across campus at SDSU.
Horvath earned his bachelor's degree in 1998 from The Ohio State University in Management Information Systems, before a two-year stint as IT manager for the City of Columbus, Ohio.
Horvath and his wife, Polly Kanavel, who volunteers in the SDSU athletic department, foster animals for the San Diego Humane Society and reside in La Mesa with their pug Kivah.
