Rob Vetter

Rob Vetter joined San Diego State in July of 2022 as an assistant athletic trainer. He currently works with club sports. 

As one of the club sports athletic trainers, he provides medical coverage for San Diego State’s 22 club teams as well as the Spirit squad. He is also an assistant clinical coordinator for volunteer athletic training students.

Prior to joining San Diego State, Vetter spent one year at Louisiana Tech as an assistant athletic trainer for softball and the insurance coordinator for sports medicine. He was part of the 2022 C-USA regular season conference championship softball team.

Before accepting the position with Louisiana Tech, Vetter spent two years at the University of Nevada, Reno as a resident athletic trainer working with the softball team. 

Vetter completed his master’s degree in applied sciences with an emphasis in sports and fitness management from Missouri Western State University. While there, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer working with the softball, women’s volleyball and track and field/cross country teams. During his time at Missouri Western, Vetter completed a summer-long internship with the Australian Olympic softball team, The Aussie Spirit, serving as their athletic trainer during their time in the NPF.

Vetter attended the University of Missouri – Columbia where he earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training. He has completed the Structure and Function Dry Needling 1 course.

Vetter is a native of O’Fallon, Missouri.
