Natalie Ater came to SDSU in July of 2018 as an assistant athletic trainer. She currently works with the water polo and swim & dive teams.
Aside from providing treatment and assisting with rehab for her teams, she oversees the hiring, onboarding and scheduling of SDSU sanctioned camp athletic trainers.
Prior to coming to SDSU, she was at Wichita State as a graduate assistant where she worked with the Shockers’ cross county and track and field programs.
She holds an undergrad degree from Purdue in athletic training and earned her master’s in exercise science from Wichita State in 2018. She also earned a certificate as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in April 2018.
A San Diego county native, she currently lives in North Park with her dog Brandy.
