Michelle Boyer is in her first season on the Aztec coaching staff.
Boyer is an alum of San Diego State and was a member of the Aztec rowing team. After spending her freshman campaign with Washington State, Boyer transitioned onto the SDSU squad and spent extensive time with both the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight boats.
With the Varsity Eight[apos]s, Boyer sat in the seven seat in the boat[apos]s runner-up finish at the Parker Cup Regatta. After graduation, Boyer spent a year coaching and volunteering for many different clubs and teams. While coaching masters she accepted an opportunity to become the Head Novice coach for ZLAC. Boyer also volunteered as a coach for a Wounded Warrior rowing clinic and taught rowing at Mission Bay Aquatic Center.
Boyer started her rowing career at ZLAC Rowing Club and attended Julian high school where she played softball and volleyball for the Eagles. Boyer served as the team captain for the volleyball team.
Boyer earned a bachelor[apos]s degree in kinesiology in December of 2011 and is a three-year letterwinner at SDSU from 2008-2011.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Boyer enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and spending time with family in her spare time.
