McKenna Peterson came to San Diego State in July of 2022 as an assistant athletic trainer. She currently works with the Aztec swim and dive team.
McKenna earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from St. Catherine University while swimming on their swim and dive team. She completed her Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training from Montana State University in 2022.
While working on her master's degree, she completed a fall internship with the SDSU football team, worked as a certified Athletic Trainer for an independent baseball team in Montana, and worked with Montana State University's baseball team.
McKenna is a California native, growing up in Sacramento.
