Marcus Everett joined the SDSU Compliance Department in August 2022. In his current role, Everett is the primary compliance liaison for Football and both Men's & Women's Basketball. In addition to managing the department's rules education program, he also assists the Senior Associate with the oversight of the day to day operations.
Everett joined SDSU after previous stints at Stetson University and most recently Fresno State.
As the Director of Compliance at Fresno State, Everett oversaw Bylaw 13 (recruiting) and Bylaw 15 (financial aid) over the course of his three years at the institution. During the 2019 football season, the Bulldogs played the Aztecs at Qualcomm Stadium, the final year before its demolition. Everett says that when he stepped off the plane and felt the San Diego air for the first time, he knew SDSU was where he wanted to be.
The Washington D.C native has his Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University and his Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
