Bio entering the 2015 season
Luke Duprey enters his first season as volunteer assistant coach at San Diego State after a distinguished playing career at Duke University. Duprey lead the Blue Devils to back-to-back national championships and four Final Four appearances, while earning All-American honors. He will assist with all aspects of the team this season.
Duprey played in 76 career games as a long stick midfield at Duke, compiling 143 ground balls and 88 ground balls. His 88 ground balls are the most in program history since Duke started tracking the statistic in 2010. He concluded his collegiate career by leading the Blue Devils to consecutive NCAA Championships in 2013 and 2014. Despite suffering a knee injury in April 2014, Duprey earned All-American honors as a senior before being drafted fourth overall in the 2014 Major Lacrosse League (MLL) Draft by the New York Lizards.
A native of Concord, N.H., Duprey played in all of Duke[apos]s 61 games his first three seasons on campus after earning high school Under Armour All-American recognition as a senior at Philips Academy. During his prep career, Duprey was selected to the New England All-Star Team, and was also a three-year letterwinner in both football and hockey.
