Kevin Waldick returns for his third year as an assistant coach for the San Diego State women?s crew team. Waldick has played an integral part in the team?s success since its recognition as a varsity athletic program.
Waldick works primarily with the lightweight portion of the Aztec program. He was instrumental in the team?s success during the 1998-99 campaign guiding the lightweight program to a final national ranking of eighth.
As an Aztec alum, Waldick rowed at SDSU from 1992-96 and earned gold medals at the California State Championships in the varsity eight and varsity four, and a bronze medal at the National Championships in the varsity four.
In addition to coaching, he is an assistant professor in the Exercise, Nutritional Sciences Department and teaches both recreational and credit water sports classes. Prior to coaching, Waldick worked as the head rowing instructor at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center in San Diego.
Waldick was born on November 18, 1974, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
