Jessica Pino

Jessica Pino begins her second season as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Aztec volleyball team. The former collegiate middle blocker was a member of the Aztec team for one season when she redshirted during the 2013 campaign.

Pino originally sign to play basketball at UC Santa Barba out of high school. As a freshman for the Gauchos in 2012m she appeared in three contests for the Gauchos, averaging 0.7 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Pino was a four-year varsity letterwinner as a volleyball player at Chaparral High School, where she played for her father, Michael Pino. A two-time all-league selection, she averaged 1.9 kills and 1.4 blocks per set while compiling a .406 hitting percentage.

As a basketball player at CHS, Pino was a four-time All-Southwestern League selection, earning first team honors three times and second team honors her freshman year. She averaged 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.4 blocks per game as a senior and was named the school's Female Athlete of the Year. She also earned Scholar-Athlete honors all four years.

Pino is majoring in communications at San Diego State.
