Deborah Callahan returned to SDSU in October of 2019 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Clinical Assistant. She currently works with the volleyball team and is also in charge of coordinating the medical clinic and serves as the Insurance Coordinator for SDSU athletics.
Her first stint at SDSU began in 2011 and lasted until 2017 when she left to work with Navy and Marine personnel as an athletic trainer at the SMART Clinic. There she rehabilitated active duty Navy personnel for a year and then went on to the Marine Corp Recruit Depot to rehab recruits who were injured in training.
Callahan graduated from SDSU athletic training program in 2011. She later received a Master’s in human movement with an emphasis in sports conditioning from A.T Still University.
She is married to Jacob Callahan, an athletic trainer for the SDSU football team. They live in San Diego with their two dogs.
