The definition of an Aztec for Life, Lesley Fong has worked at San Diego State for over 20 years in a variety of roles. She currently serves as the assistant athletic director of operations – special events and projects.

In her role, she assists with the facilities and operations budgeting and coordinates the scheduling of all athletic department facilities among other duties. She also acts as tournament manager for Mountain West, Pac-12, MPSF, GCC and NCAA events.

Prior to her current position, Fong was the director of special projects and a campus liaison from 2006-15 where she oversaw all SDSU athletics’ camps and clinics and coordinated bids for various Mountain West and NCAA championship events.

Fong has also served as the special assistant to the athletic director (2004-06) and spent time working in ticketing and media relations (2003-04) and in marketing (1999-2003).

Fong graduated from San Diego State with undergraduate degrees in economics and psychology and earned a master’s in sport management from the University of San Francisco.

Fong lives in Santee with her husband Chris and their daughter Emily and has season tickets to every SDSU sport. Her family owned the Peking Restaurant in North Park, which was the oldest restaurant in San Diego until its closing in 2019.
