2021-22
Outdoor: Competed in four meets... Placed fourth in the high jump in the Sun Angel Classic (5-05.25) and fifth in the Desert Heat Classic (5-06.00)... Set a personal best with a long jump of 15-11.50 in the Sun Angel Classic, good enough for 15th.

Indoor: Finished seventh in the Mountain West Indoor Championships in the high jump with a height of 5-05.75 and 13th in the triple jump with a distance of 37-08.00, a personal record... Competed in four meets... Placed seventh in the high jump at the UNM Collegiate Classic with a mark of 5-01.25.

2020-21
Outdoor: Finished fourth at the MW Outdoor Championships in the high jump with a personal best mark of 5-09.75, the fourth best jump in program history and highest since 1989… Went on to tie for 30^th at the NCAA West prelims (5-07.75)… Placed 10^th at the conference championships in the triple jump with a wind-aided 38-04.75… Tied for 1^st at the Triton Invitational in the high jump (5-07.00)… Also took second at the MW Challenge (5-07.00) and Long Beach Invitational (5-05.00)… Had a personal best mark in the triple jump of 39-02.25 at the LBSU Throws & Jumps Fest (May 1).

2019-20
Indoor: Competed in three meets in her first season with the Aztecs after transferring from Sacramento State… Finished eighth in the high jump at the MW Indoor Championships with a mark of 5-06.50, tied for the fifth best jump in program history… Also competed at the NAU Mountain T’s Invitational (5-05.00, 3^rd) and the UNM Collegiate Classic (5-05.25, 8^th).

Outdoor: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Previous College:
Competed at Sacramento State for her freshman season where she helped the Hornets win the Big Sky Championship in both the indoor and outdoor seasons… Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary and placed fourth at the Big Sky Championships in the high jump... Set her PR after clearing 5-08.50 at the Big Sky meet which moved her into a tie for fifth place in the Hornet record book… Also competed in the triple jump during the year where she had a best jump of 36-05.50… In the indoor season, qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the high jump and triple jump… Cleared 5-07.00 at the Big Sky meet which ranked seventh in school history… Her best indoor triple jump was 36-07.75… Was named to the All-Academic Team.

High School:
Attended local Torrey Pines High School where she competed in track and field, helping her team to league championships all four years and CIF champions... Her top marks include 5-.00” in high jump and 38-2.75 in triple jump… Was named Most Promising Field Athlete, Field Athlete of the Year, Athlete of the Year, MVP and to the All-Academic Team… Also competed in basketball… Member of the Japanese National Honor Society.

Personal
Born in Paris, France to Xavier and Lili Cany… Majoring in international business with plans to be a creative director for a global company… Previously had a two-month long internship at the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in Hong Kong… Lists American high jumper Vashti Cunningham as her favorite athlete… Enjoys learning new languages.
