Marisa Abegg enters her third season at SDSU as the director of operations after playing professional soccer and enjoying a successful career at Stanford.
Abegg was drafted by the FC Gold Pride in the 2009 WPS Draft and played for five seasons on the pro circuit, covering the WPS, W-League and the Women's Premier Soccer League.
Before going pro, Abegg was a standout for the Cardinal, starting all 91 games in which she saw action. She was a three-time all-Pac-10 selection, garnering first-team honors as a junior and senior. In her final season in 2008, she was a second-team NSCAA/adidas All-American, first-team All-West Region selection and a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist.
