2023-24 Season
XC: Competed in all five meets during the season … Finished 83rd at the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 20:56.3, an SDSU record for the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex … Finished 28th at the Mountain West Championships, the highest individual placement by an Aztec since 2012, with a time of 21:09.2 … Set a 6k program record of 19:58.3 to win the Highlander Invitational … It is the first sub-20 minute 6k mark in program history … Finished third in the season opening 5k … Was the top Aztec finisher in all five meets.
 
Indoor: Competed in three meets, including the Mountain West Championships … Ran the anchor leg for the distance medley relay team that finished in 11:49.06, a school record … Ran 2:10.61 in the 800m at the UW Invitational, the sixth fastest time in program history … Also set the senior class record in the 3,000m at the UW Invitational with a time of 9:32.77.

Outdoor: Reached the semifinals of the 1,500m at the NCAA West Preliminaries, finishing 16th at 4:20.00 … Ran a 4:19.63 in the opening round of the prelims … Won silver at the MW Championships in the 1,500m for the second straight year, running a 4:17.66 … Ran the second fastest 1,500m race in program history at the Bryan Clay Invitational, crossing the line in 4:14.07 … Won the 800m at the Aztec Invitational with a time of 2:07.52, the ninth fastest in SDSU history … Also won the 5,000m at the Steve Scott Invitational finishing in 15:57.21, which ranks third all-time … Ran double-duty in the first meet of the season, placing second in the 1,500m and 4th in the 800m at the Astro AI Distance Classic.

2022-23 Season
XC: Was the leading Aztec runner in five of the team’s six meets, including a 78th place finish at the NCAA West Regionals … Ran a lifetime-best and school record 20:40.3 at the regionals … Also set a PR of 17:08.4 in the 5k, the sixth-best mark in program history … Finished sixth at the Joe Piane Invitational … Finished fifth at the Anteater Opener with a personal best 4k of 14:12.0.
 
Indoor: Earned All-Mountain West honors after finishing third in the mile with a time of 4:48.71 … Finished second in the mile at the Don Kirby Invitational … Ran a PR of 4:47.55 in the mile at the UW Invite.
 
Outdoor: Reached the semifinals of the NCAA West Preliminaries in the 1,500m finishing 18th with a lifetime-best 4:15.87 which also ranks as the second fastest time in program history … Earned All-Mountain West honors for the 1,500m with a second-place finish at the MW Championships … Ran a lifetime-best, and fifth fastest mark in program history, 16:18.63 in the 5,000m at the Penn Relays … Started her outdoor season with a win in the 1,500m at the Aztec Invitational.
 
2021-22 Season
XC: Was the top Aztec finisher in four races including the NCAA Regional Championships... Ran a 22:39.2 6k in the Mountain West Championships... Participated in five 6k races including the Stump Invitational, where she posted a collegiate career best (20:56.1)… Competed in a 4k at the Anteater Opener (14:55.9)… Finished in the top five among Aztecs at the Anteater Opener, Stump Invitational, Dave Murray Invitational, Highlander Invitational, Mountain West Championships and NCAA West Regionals.

Indoor: Placed 15th in the Mountain West Indoor Championships in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.47, a personal record.

Outdoor: Finished 11th in the Mountain West Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:30.04... Competed in four meets... Took second in the 1,500 meters in the Astro Al Distance Classic (4:28.15) and the Steve Scott Invitational (4:35.82)... Set a personal best in the 800 meters at the Aztec Invitational with a time of 2:14.22.

2020-21 Season
XC: Was the top Aztec finisher in both races... Ran a personal best 21:48.0 in the Silver State Collegiate Challenge 6k to finish ninth out of 41 runners... Finished in 45th out of 86 runners at the MW Championships with a time of 21:49.4.

Indoor: Did not compete.
 
Outdoor: Had a breakout season where she finished third at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships in the 1,500m with a time of 4:21.87, the fastest time by an Aztec since 1982… Went on to finish 25^th at the NCAA West Prelims (4:24.34)… Took first in the 1,500 at the Utah Dual Meet (4:35.09) and at the Long Beach Invitational (4:31.33)… Ran the 3,000m in one race, the Mountain West Challenge (April 7), and took first place with a time of 10:01.50.

2019-20 Season
XC: Competed in three events for the Aztecs…Finished top five for the Aztecs in two of her three races…Set a collegiate career best in the Mark Covert Classic 5k where she finished 51^st out of 200 (19:36.2) and the UC Riverside Invitational 6k (22:35.6).

Indoor: Competed in two meets… Was part of the Distance Medley Relay team at the UW Invitational that finished in 12:12.55, good for fourth in school history… Also ran the mile at the Don Kirby Elite Invite (5:30.52).

Outdoor: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

High School
 Attended Scotts Valley High School where she was an All-State selection… Made the XC State meet three times and once in track (1600m)… Finished 18^th in the XC State meet as a freshman… Earned a 13^th place finish in the 1,600m in her senior year… Best time in the 1,600m was 4:56.30… Was named Team MVP four times… Played soccer her freshman year… Was actively involved with community service through her school’s ASB.

Personal
Born in Los Gatos, Calif. to Shari and Pete Kain… Her mother played volleyball at UC Santa Barbara and her father played water polo at Whittier College… Enjoys walking her dog on the beach, traveling abroad and volunteering in the community… Plans on majoring in international business and psychology.
