Mel Boscarino joined the coaching staff as the Director of Player Development in September of 2021 and then was added as an assistant coach prior to the 2023-24 season. She joins the women’s basketball team after working for SDSU’s event management department since 2019.
Her responsibilities include filming and editing of games and practices, creating player and scout edits and highlights, as well as supervising all student staff and assisting with the program’s social media platforms.
Prior to SDSU, Boscarino spent time in the events departments at Wake Forest (2018-19) and Stanford (2017-18).
A Los Angeles native, Boscarino concluded her playing career in 2016 with a bachelor’s in communications from Dominican University of California. She then went on to receive her master’s degree in sport management from the University of San Francisco in 2018.
