2023-24 Season
Started all 35 games and was a Mountain West honorable mention selection after averaging 10.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals… Became just the second Aztec in the Mountain West era (25 years) to have at least 300 points, 500 rebounds, 75 assists and 50 steals in a single season… Was the only player in the Mountain West to be top 10 in rebounds, steals and blocks… Became the first Aztec post player in 10 years to lead the team in steals… Scored in double-digits 21 times … Had seven double-doubles (all in MW play)… Led SDSU in scoring eight times, in rebounding 12 times, in assists 12 times, in steals 12 times and in blocks 17 times… Was named to the Mountain West All-Tournament Team… Against New Mexico, in the MW Tournament quarterfinals she became just the third Aztec to have at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a tournament game… Had a career-high 24 points vs. Wyoming (3-5-24)… Had a career-high 14 rebounds twice… Had a career-high eight assists twice, including in the Mountain West Championship game… Had a career-high six steals vs. Westcliff… Had a career-high four blocks vs. UNLV (1-17-24)… Surpassed 1,000 points for her career in the final game of the season.
2022-23 Season
Averaged 8.5 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds while shooting 49.4 percent from the field… One of two Aztecs to start all 34 games… Averaged 22.3 minutes per game… Had 15 games in double-digits… Led SDSU in rebounding 13 times… Had a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds at San Jose State (2-11-23)… Had 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting vs. first place UNLV (1-7-23)… Had a career-high seven assists vs. Seattle (11-25-22).
2021-22 Season
Appeared in 28 games and made six starts… Averaged 6.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game… Led the team with 48.8 field goal percentage… Scored in double-figures six times including a career-high 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting at California Baptist (12-8-21)… Had 10 or more rebounds five times and led the Aztecs in rebounding on nine occasions… Led the team in steals 10 times... For the second straight year, played for the El Salvador National Team following the season.
2020-21 Season
Made the Mountain West All-Freshman Team… Averaged 6.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 18.8 minutes per game… Scored in double-figures five times, including a season-high 16 at Colorado State (12-8-20)… Had a season-high 10 rebounds vs. Air Force (1-22-21)… Started eight games, including seven straight in conference play... Following the season played for the El Salvador National Team.
High School/International
Averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game as a senior at Chaminade HS… Was named to the All-Mission League First-Team as a senior… Helped her school reach the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division I championships… Previously attended Bishop Alemany HS where she averaged 19 points per game as a junior… Played with the El Salvador national team and was named the top Salvadoran basketball player in the US… Played for Team Taurasi for the California Storm AAU program on the prestigious Nike circuit with teammate Asia Avinger.

Kimberly Villalobos was born in Panorama City, Calif. to Silvia Estrada and Enock Villalobos… Lists Kobe Bryant as her favorite athlete and had the opportunity to work at the Mamba Sports Academy… Majoring in social work… Plans to become a psychologist or a physical therapist.

Erin Houpt (13), Adryana Quezada (12), Kim Villalobos (11) and Khylee Pepe (10) all scored in double-digits and Quezada had a double-double with 12 rebounds. Cali Clark also had double-digit rebounds with 10.

The Aztecs kick off the 2024-25 season Monday when they host Cal State San Marcos at 6 p.m. inside Viejas Arena.
Aztecs Holding Open Practice Nov. 2
The San Diego State women’s basketball team is holding an open practice this Saturday (Nov. 2) at 10 a.m. in Viejas Arena. The event is open to the public and will give fans their first chance to see the team behind the scenes ahead of their season opener Monday (Nov. 4) vs. Cal State San Marcos.
Aztecs Release Single Game Tickets
The Aztecs, who are coming off a run to the Mountain West Championship game, have 15 home games, eight of which will be against teams that won at least 20 games a year ago.
Adryana Quezada Named to Preseason All-Mountain West Team
Quezada, a sixth year forward, led the Aztecs in scoring and rebounding last year, averaging 14 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She shot 53% from the field and was an All-Mountain West selection.
Aztecs Release Non-Conference Schedule
The 13-game slate features six games against teams that won 20 or more games a year ago and four against teams that made the postseason. The Aztecs open the season Nov. 4 and will play six non-conference games at home, four on the road and three in Mexico in the Cancun Challenge.
Aztecs Release Mountain West Schedule
The Aztecs, who were Mountain West Tournament runners-up last season, will play 18 games, facing every school home and away except for Boise State (home only) and Air Force (road only).
