Gebregziabher joined the Aztec staff during the 2021-22 season as a graduate assistant. In his role, he coordinates the team’s workout and practice schedule and supports the staff in various activities such as travel, statistical analysis and equipment management.
Prior to SDSU, he was an assistant coach for the Southwestern College men’s program for the 2019-20 season.
Gebregziabher served in the U.S. Navy as a second class petty officer from 2011-16. While en
listed he held many roles including gas turbine systems mechanic, damage control petty officer and work center supervisor.
A St. Louis, Mo. Native, Gebregziabher graduated from San Diego State in 2021 with a degree in psychology. He is currently pursuing a master’s in marriage and family therapy at SDSU.
