Gipson finished her storied high school career with 2,655 points, the 32^nd most ever in Texas… Averaged 22.5 points, 15.2 rebounds and 5.7 blocks per game as a senior and helped A.C. Jones High School go 33-3 and 14-0 in district and advance to the 4A State Regional Quarterfinals… Following the season, Gipson was named the District 30-4A MVP for the third straight year… As a junior, averaged 22.6 points and 14.2 rebounds per game and helped her school go 30-8 and win the Bi-District championship… Was named the All-South Texas MVP, the District 30-4A MVP while also being a TGCA 4A All-State selection and TBAC 4A All-Region pick following her junior season… In her sophomore year, A.C. Jones HS won the district and area championships and she won her first District 30-4A MVP Award while also being named to the All South Texas First Team and to the TBA All Region 4A Team… As a freshman, averaged 14.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 6.7 blocks and earned the All-South Texas and District 30-4A Newcomer of the Year awards… Also played volleyball and ran the 400m for her school’s track team… Earned all-academic recognition.
