Appeared in 22 games and made one start… Averaged 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game… Shot 51 percent from the floor… Scored 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting vs. Utah State (1-14-21)… Posted season-highs in rebounds (8) and steals (3) vs. Air Force in the Mountain West Tournament.

As a senior, Vinerte helped New Hope Academy (Landover Hills, Md.) go 23-8 and earn a season-ending national ranking of No. 45 according to MaxPreps… Was named a McDonald's All-American nominee… Helped New Hope Academy take third place at the NACA National Championships… Was scheduled to play in the 2020 Buffalo Wild Wings Roundball Classic All-Star Showcase before it was canceled due to COVID-19… As a junior, helped the New York Military Academy win a Class E State Championship… Played for the Latvian youth national team on multiple occasions, including in the U-17 FIBA World Championships… Helped the U16 Latvian team take fourth place at the European Championships... Played volleyball and tennis for one season… Took JROTC and is a cadet private first class… Won two awards for Spanish: Most improved and best Spanish student… Was in many scholastic clubs, including poetry and writing, Latin, cinema and culture and land navigation.

Flera “Flo” Vinerte was born in Riga, Latvia to Diana Jakobsone and Donalds Vinerte… Enjoys learning new languages, cinema and theater and playing the piano… Plans to major in psychology… After college wants to get a medical degree in psychiatry… Lists Serena Williams as her favorite athlete.
