2021 FALL SEASON (As A Sophomore): Appeared in 27 of the Aztecs’ 30 matches, earning six starts … Averaged 3.11 assists (230 overall) in 74 sets … Also registered 38 kills and 24 block assists … Started six of the final eight matches last year, averaging 4.00 assists during that stretch … Eclipsed the 20-assist plateau on three occasions, including a season-high 23 helpers vs. Boise State (10-30-21) … Dished out 22 assists while tying her season best with five kills vs. Utah State (10-28-21) … Set a career high with five block assists and contributed 20 helpers in a three-set sweep of Nevada at home (11-18-21) … Knocked down five kills on a collegiate-best 15 attempts vs. Fresno State (10-7-21) … Recorded a season-high five digs in the third match of the year at Sam Houston (8-28-21) … Earned a spot on the Mountain West all-academic team for the second straight season.
2021 SPRING SEASON (As A Freshman): Saw significant playing time during her first season on The Mesa, earning six starts in 13 matches … Dished out an average of 4.00 assists in 41 sets (164 overall) … Also finished with 31 kills (0.76/set), 19 digs (0.46/set) and 14 blocks (0.34/set) for the year … Compiled double-digit assists on six occasions, including a career-high 27 helpers at UNLV in just her second collegiate match (Feb. 5) … Knocked down a season-best six kills in that contest vs. the Rebels as well … Came back with 26 helpers and a season-high seven digs in the home opener against Fresno State (Feb. 12) … Handed out a team-best 19 assists and served up her first collegiate ace at Wyoming (March 5) … Tied for team-high honors with 23 assists and blasted four kills in the series finale vs. Utah State, helping the Aztecs put the brakes on a five-match losing streak (March 12) … Provided a spark off the bench in SDSU’s 3-2 upset at Boise State, finishing with 17 assists, five kills and one block assist … Was also a key contributor in the Aztecs’ 3-0 sweep of Colorado State, finishing the regular season with 13 assists, four kills and a season-high four block assists, as the Scarlet and Black snapped an 11-match slide against the Rams (April 3) … Earned Mountain West scholar-athlete distinction to go with conference all-academic honors ... Also received SDSU scholar-athlete recognition.
PRIOR TO SDSU: Originally signed with Baylor out of high school but did not attend … Enrolled at Johnson County (Kan.) Community College for the 2019-20 school year but did not compete in volleyball … Earned a spot on the JCCC academic honor roll for the 2019 fall semester … Will have four years of eligibility with the Aztecs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Won three letters under head coach Matthew Allin at Blue Valley North High School in her hometown of Overland Park, Kansas … Received Under Armour All-America honorable mention and earned second-team all-state honors from the Kansas Volleyball Association after posting 885 assists during her senior season in 2018, according to MaxPreps. Also landed a spot on the KVA Class 6A all-tournament team and merited first-team all-Eastern Kansas League distinction, as the Mustangs rose to as high as No. 8 in the PrepVolleyball.com national high school rankings … Was chosen to play in the MoKan All-Star Match for her efforts.
CLUB: Was a key contributor on her Legacy Volleyball Elite 17 squad, which earned a No. 8 national ranking by PrepVolleyball.com in 2018 … Also starred for the MAVS Volleyball Club 16-1 team that won the 16s title in the USA Division at the 2016 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
PERSONAL: Kennedy Feuerborn was born in Kansas City, Missouri … Parents are John and Tricia Feuerborn … Hobbies include music, horseback riding, painting and exercising … Lists Usain Bolt as her favorite athlete … Was initially recruited out of high school by Louisville, Ohio State, Kansas and Kansas State before signing with Baylor … Intends to major in applied design at SDSU with career plans to enter the fashion industry.
