2021 SPRING SEASON (As A Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in nine matches with four starts … Totaled 17 kills, 16 blocks, four digs and one service ace on the year … Led the Aztecs with an average of 0.76 blocks in 21 sets played … Came off the bench with four kills and a season-high five block assists in SDSU’s 3-0 sweep of Colorado State, helping the Scarlet and Black snap an 11-match losing streak to the Rams in the regular-season finale (April 3) … Knocked down four kills and tied for team-high honors with three blocks in the series opener earlier in the year at Wyoming (March 5) … Also topped the squad with a trio of blocks vs. Nevada (Feb. 27) and Utah State (March 11) … Earned Mountain West scholar-athlete distinction to go with conference all-academic honors … Also received the Aztec athletic department’s Malik Award, presented to SDSU student-athletes who attain a 4.0 grade point average, for the 2020 spring and fall semesters.
2019 SEASON: Utilized redshirt season.
2018 SEASON (As A Freshman): Played 18 sets in five matches during her first season on The Mesa … Recorded a strong .306 hitting percentage for the year, blasting 15 kills with four errors on 36 attempts … Launched four kills apiece in her first two collegiate appearances vs. Seattle and Portland at the Aztec Invitational (Aug. 25) … Totaled 15 blocks on the season, highlighted by seven block assists against Seattle in her SDSU debut ... Received Mountain West scholar-athlete recognition for excellence in the classroom ... Was also presented with the Aztec athletic department's Malik Award.
HIGH SCHOOL: Won three varsity letters at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo, Calif. … Received second-team all-South Coast League recognition after leading all middle blockers in the conference with 166 kills and 72 blocks during her senior campaign in 2017 … Also served as team captain during her final prep season … Was a member of the Mustangs’ CIF Division I-A Southern Section championship team that advanced to the CIF state semifinals during her sophomore year in 2015 … Helped Trabuco Hills High to an undefeated record in the South Coast League as a freshman in 2014 … Was voted the Mustangs’ Most Inspirational Player in 2014 and 2017 … Also merited scholar-athlete distinction on three occasions … Additionally competed for the Laguna Beach Volleyball Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Scott and Tiffany Hodson … Compiled a perfect 4.0 grade point average in high school … Chose San Diego State over Utah, Gonzaga, UC Santa Barbara and Montana State during the recruiting process … Enjoys playing the guitar, yoga, and hiking … Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
