Kelsey Williams, a 2014 All-America setter from Duke, has joined the Aztec volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2015 season.
As a senior setter for the Blue Devils last year, Williams helped Duke rank second in the nation in both assists per set (14.05 aps) and kills per set (14.83 kps). Her play earned her AVCA All-America honorable mention honors and she was named to the AVCA All-East Coast Team.
Williams was selected the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference Setter of the Year and picked up first team All-ACC honors after averaging a career-best 11.52 assists per set. She led the ACC in assists per frame and ranked 11th nationally. She also garnered Capital One Academic All-District III accolades and was named an East Bay Prep Athlete of the Year
Born in Raleigh, N.C., Williams was a four-year letterwinner at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, Calif. She was named All-East Bay as a junior and senior in addition to being a three-time all-league choice.
