Holly Goode joins the Aztec volleyball staff as the volunteer assistant coach for the 2014 season. The former collegiate standout comes the SDSU with coaching experience at the club level on the east coast.

Goode played for four seasons (2007-10) at George Mason University as a right side/middle blocker. As a junior in 2009 she has named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the year and earned AVCA All-East Regional first-team honors. The Patriots won the CAA title that season and Good was named the Most Outstanding Perform at the CAA Championships.

Goode was named the State Player of the Year that season as voted on by the collegiate sports information directors in Virginia. She was a two-time conference player of the week and was also selected to the all-tourney teams at three in-season tournament. She was also recognized as one of Collegiate Volleyball Update[apos]s weekly Top Performers at the end of the regular season.

For the past six years (2007-13) she has served as a coach, camp counselor and mentor to boys and girls at the High Performance Camps in Fairfax, Va. In addition, she has worked as an assistant coach with the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) 15 Open team during the 2009-10 season.

She has also served as head coach of the 11[apos]s with the Sunshine Volleyball Club (2013-14) in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Her duties there included basic skills camps, tryouts and position training (setter, hitter, libero, etc.).

The 25-year-old Good is a native of Virginia Beach, Va., where she attended Kempsville High School and was Principal[apos]s Honor Roll student who graduated with an advance diploma.

Goode received her bachelor[apos]s degree from George Mason in exercise science in 2011.
