Carol Hamilton

Carol Hamilton joins the Aztec volleyball program for the 2014 season as the Director of Player Development. Her duties include tracking players with the data Volley software program and assisting in scouting opponents.

Hamilton played four seasons (2001-04) of volleyball at Cal State Dominguez Hills as an opposite hitter. Following graduation she played professionally in Europe for TSV Allianz Stuttgart (Germany 2005-06), LP Kangasala (Finland 2008-09) and Volley-Ball Pexinois Niort (France 2010-11). She also competed for VBC Biel-Bienne in Switzerland (2011-12) and served as head coach for the club's U19 team the following year.

Her other coaching experience includes time at T2 Volleyball Club in Kelowna, Canada (2011) where she instructed children between the ages of 13-18. She was also the coach of the Torrey's Volleyball Club 12's Gold team in San Diego (2012-13) and was the JV head coach and sand volleyball coach at La Jolla Country Day School in 2013.

Hamilton is currently the head coach and director of Beach Dig in San Diego, which runs sand volleyball camps and training programs in Florida and California. She also serves as the head coach of the 13-1 team with the La Jolla volleyball Club and is a volunteer coach with the USA Women's National Team in Anaheim.

As a player at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Hamilton still ranks ninth in career block assists and second for block assists in a season. A San Diego native, she played high school volleyball at San Diego HS.

Hamilton graduated for CSU Dominguez Hills in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in communications/electronic media production.
