Attended McAuley High School in Auckland, New Zealand, where she served as a team captain as a senior in 2009 … Coached there by Bridget Haughton … Led her prep team to the Auckland secondary school championship and provincial title four straight years … Was named the most valuable player at the U-19 inter-provincial championships and was selected to the all-tournament team at the national secondary school championships where McAuley HS finished seventh … Also all-tourney at the provincial championships in 2009 … Selected the best in her sport at the ASB College Sport Young Person of the Year awards, the most prestigious secondary school sports award in Auckland … Chosen the Sportswoman of the Year for McAuley High in 2009 … Won several academic awards as a senior as the top student in physics, geography and classical studies … Also captured the Wackrow Cup for social sciences and Moira Feeney trophy for service to the school … Winner of Daley Award for finishing with second highest score in final comprehensive academic exam … Awarded the ALDIS Scholarship and Keystone Trust Scholarship.

Selected for the New Zealand U-19 women’s team and was member of the 2009 national champion Manukau South Volleyball Club … Was named to the all-tournament team (Top 6 Star award) and was recognized as the Best Blocker at the 2009 national club championships.
