2008 SEASON (As A Redshirt Sophomore)
Started 25 of the team’s 26 matches after sitting out the previous season … Set her Aztecs career highs with eight block assists and 10 total blocks against Weber State during the Gonzaga Invitational on Sept. 12 … The 10 blocks were the fifth-most in a match by a Mountain West Conference player …Recorded at least one block in 25 of SDSU’s 25 matches … Her  averages of 1.04 blocks per set both overall and in conference matches ranked 11th in the MWC … Had career-best four digs at Wyoming on Nov. 15 … Top kill output of five came against Gonzaga on Sept. 13 … Named to the Mountain West conference all-Academic Team … SDSU scholar-athlete honoree during both the fall and spring semesters.
 
2007 SEASON (As A Sophomore)
Sat out as a redshirt during her second year at SDSU after undergoing shoulder surgery in the spring.
 
2006 SEASON (As A Freshman)
Started over half of SDSU’s matches as a true freshman at middle blocker … Blocking average of 1.08 per game ranked eighth in the Mountain West Conference … Mark of 1.02 bpg in league play ranked just outside the top 10 … Season-high seven total blocks vs. Kentucky on Sept. 2 … Matched that total against Colorado State on Nov. 10 … Top single-match hitting effort of .583 came at Wyoming on Nov. 4 … Hit .300 or better in eight of the 24 matches in which she appeared … Averaged 1.25 kills per game with personal best eight vs. Kentucky and at Wyoming (Nov. 4) … Accounted for season-best 13.5 points in the match vs. Kentucky … Set season highs with two service aces and six block assists in contest at Brigham Young on Oct. 21 … Both of her assists during the season came in the match vs. BYU at home on Nov. 23.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
A two-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball at Exeter Union High School … Team won East Sequoia League title each of her two seasons … Won a varsity letter as a member of the swim team (butterfly, freestyle, backstroke) during freshman year and also as a water polo athlete as a senior … Received letters for academics as a junior and symphonic band as a sophomore … Runner-up for Homecoming queen as a senior … Member of Principal’s List honor roll four years … Winner of Monarch Award for art … Played in the school band which won sectional title for marching/symphonic bands three years … Played for Fresno Volleyball Club (2002-03) and Sports City club (2003-05), competing in the Junior Olympic open tournament each year … Was a member of the Redwave Extreme (2005-06) team that played at the J.O. nationals.

Born in Long Beach, Calif. … Daughter of Tamalee and Scott Hellwig … Mother is a graduate of San Diego State (1984) … Sister, Hollee, was a middle blocker for the volleyball team at Fresno State during the 2006 season … Grandfather, Dr. James Jones, played football and ran track at USC … Her aunt, Laurie Jones (Van Winkle), was member of national championship volleyball team at UCLA, where she played four years … Favorite athlete is pro snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White … In her spare time, enjoys playing alto and tenor sax, swimming, wakeboarding and snowboarding … Was recruited by over 30 Division I schools including USC, Colorado State, Arizona, UC Santa Barbara, Cal and Notre Dame … Majoring in business administration.
