Appeared in four matches as a defensive specialist … Season-high five digs over three sets vs. Wyoming (Oct. 10) … Also recorded three digs in matches vs. UNLV (Sept. 26) and at TCU (Oct. 3) … Lone service ace came vs. Wyoming.
2008 SEASON (As A Freshman)
Sat out as a redshirt during her first year on The Mesa … Honored at an SDSU scholar-athlete (3.2 gpa or higher) during both the fall and spring semesters.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year volleyball letterwinner at Pasadena High School … Selected a team captain her final three years … As a senior, was named team’s Most Valuable Player and was a first-team all-Pacific League selection … During her junior season, was named first-team all-CIF and first-team all-league as the Bulldogs captured the CIF title … Also won team’s Coaches Award … Was chosen first-team all-league as a sophomore and was a second-team selection during her freshman campaign … Competed for the PHS soccer team as a senior in 2008 … An honor roll student who was a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholastic Federation.
CLUB
Played for five years with the Sunshine Volleyball Club in Manhattan Beach, Calif., as a setter and defensive specialist … Team won the Las Vegas Classic tournament in 2008.

Born in Pasadena, Calif. … Daughter of Gary and Kathy Klein … Father is a sportswriter for the Los Angeles Times … Enjoys soccer, art, snowboarding, the beach and spending time with friends … Favorite athletes are Chris, Will and Matt Klein … Majoring in graphic design at SDSU … Was also recruited out of high school by Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.
