2023 SEASON (As A Senior)
Was one of four Aztecs to play in all 29 matches, joining McKenna Douglas, Fatimah Hall and Taylor Underwood… Made 12 straight starts at defensive specialist to end the season… Ranked third on the team with 193 digs and 2.03 digs per set… Also occupied the fourth position on the squad with 18 service aces and was slotted fifth with 35 setting assists… Finished with a .960 reception percentage, committing just 13 errors in 329 attempts… Recorded 10 or more digs in 10 matches, including five straight from Oct. 12-Oct. 26… Collected six digs in her SDSU debut, helping the Scarlet and Black register a season-opening victory over Cal State Fullerton at the Hotel Vance Rose City Showdown in Portland, Oregon (8-25-23)… Posted 10 digs and served up an ace in a sweep of Eastern Washington at the Gonzaga Tournament (9-16-23)… Scooped up nine digs and dished out a season-best four assists in a 3-1 home triumph over San José State (9-23-23)… Helped the Aztecs defeat Wyoming on the road for the second straight season after recording nine digs, four assists and one ace (9-30-23)… Logged a season-high 16 digs to go with a pair of aces in a narrow loss to eventual Mountain West tournament champion Fresno State (10-12-23)… Contributed 13 digs, one ace and one assist in a three-set home victory over Boise State (10-19-23)… Established a career high with four aces and two kills while compiling 12 digs in a rematch with Fresno State (11-4-23)…  Earned a spot on the Mountain West all-academic team following the fall semester.

2022 SEASON (At UC Irvine): Played in a career-high 29 matches during her final season with the Anteaters, averaging 1.17 digs (117 overall) across 100 sets while adding seven kills, 13 assists and five services aces … Notched her first two collegiate kills in the season-opener at SMU (8-26-22) … Posted a season-high eight digs and served up an ace in a home sweep of Gonzaga (9-10-22) … Was credited with her first two career block assists in another home whitewash of CSUN (9-23-22) … Contributed seven digs while setting up a season-high three assists vs. UC Davis (11-5-22) … Received Big West all-academic recognition and landed on the Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the second year in a row.

2021 SEASON (At UC Irvine): Enjoyed her finest season with the Anteaters, averaging 2.11 digs per set (114 overall) with a career-high 19 setting assists and five services aces in 21 matches … Recorded double-digit digs on five occasions, including the final four matches of the season … Racked up 68 digs (4.86/set) in that span while adding 12 assists … Set a career-high with 26 digs in a four-set home victory over Cal State Fullerton to earn Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors … Also finished with 22 scoops vs. Cal Poly (11-26-22) … Established collegiate bests with five assists and three service aces in a season-ending sweep of CSU Bakersfield (11-27-22) … Merited Big West all-academic plaudits and earned a spot in the Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2020 SEASON (At UC Irvine): Did not compete after Big West Conference canceled the volleyball season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 SEASON (At UC Irvine): Saw action in nine matches during her freshman campaign, totaling 38 digs (1.41/set), three assists and three service aces across 27 sets … Made her collegiate debut at midseason, posting a five digs and one ace at CSUN (10-18-19) … Handed out her first career assist while adding seven digs vs. Hawai’i (10-26-19) ... Racked up a season-high nine digs and was credited with her first collegiate attack in a rematch vs. CSUN (11-9-19) … Finished with six digs and one assist in a four-set triumph over UC Riverside (11-15-19).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated summa cum laude in 2019 from Radford High School in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, where she was a three-year varsity competitor under head coach Candice Fujiwara … Garnered all-O’ahu Interscholastic Association accolades on three occasions, including first-team distinction during her senior campaign … Also collected team MVP honors after ranking second in the OIA in kills and fourth in digs … Twice attained National Honor Society membership and was a Career and Technology Education (CTE) award recipient.

CLUB: Was a two-year competitor for Team Barefoot Hawaii, helping her squad to a third-place finish at the 18s Open in 2019 … Also played two years for Hana Hou.

PERSONAL: Born in Long Beach, California … Parents are Bart and Claire Darnell … Lists British racing driver Lewis Hamilton as her favorite athlete … Enjoys hanging out at the beach and playing beach volleyball … Majoring in business economics/business administration with career plans to become a marketing manager or project manager.
