Indoor: Competed in the pole vault in four meets in her first year at SDSU… Took second at the Mountain West Championships with a personal best vault of 13-07.75, the ninth best mark in program history… Improved her mark in each of her four competitions… After the season, was named to the USTFCCCA and Mountain West All-Academic Team and also received the MW’s Scholar-Athlete Award.

Indoor: Posted four top-five finishes throughout the season in the pole vault, including a win at the WSU Indoor meet at 3.09m/12-9 1/2i...Placed 4th overall at the MPSF Championships in the pole vault with a height of 4.14m/13-7i…Named to the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete team.
Outdoor:  Recorded four individual wins during the outdoor season, with her best occurring at the Sam Adams Classic at 4.09m/13-0 1/2...Placed 4th overall at the Pac-12 Championships with a mark of 4.03m/13-2 1/2...Competed at the NCAA West Prelims in the pole vault where she finished 34th overall with a height of 4.07m/13-4 1/4...Named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention team.

2017-18:
Indoor: Earned one victory during her second indoor season at the WSU Cougar Indoor in the pole vault at a height of 4.05m/13-5 1/2i...Competed at the MPSF Championships in the pole vault event, taking 6th overall at 4.00m/13-1 1/2i…Named to the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete team.
Outdoor: Totaled four overall wins in the pole vault during the outdoor season...Cleared a PR height of 4.17m/13-8 1/4i at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 4th overall as well...Her Pac-12 Championship performance also saw her jump to third all-time in WSU history in the event...Placed 22nd overall at the NCAA West Prelims in the pole vault with a mark of 3.93m/12-10 3/4...Named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention team.

2016-17: 
Indoor: Soared to indoor PR pole vault height of 3.97m/13-0 1/4i for a scoring eighth place at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships (2/25/17, Seattle)…that mark is tied for sixth-best in WSU all-time records.
Outdoor: Vaulted over a bar at 3.85m/12-7 1/2 at the Cougar Invite (4/29/17, Pullman)…at the Pac-12 Championships did not clear a bar…named to Pac-12 T&F All-Academic honorable mention team.
 
2015-16: 
Indoor - Redshirt season…competing unattached, best pole vault came at Cougar Indoor with bar at 3.40m/11-1 3/4i (2/6/16, Pullman).
Outdoor: Redshirt season…competed unattached at Sam Adams Invite cleared 3.51m/11-6 1/4 (4/2/16, Spokane).
 
High School: 
Earned six varsity letters at Tesoro High School…three in cross-country for coach Pattie Fasola…three in track and field for coaches Albert Miranda and Carey Maye…in cross country finished in top 60 at CIF Southern Section and CIF State meet as sophomore…during prep track career, as a sophomore broke school record in pole vault with vault of 10-3…finished eighth in pole vault at South Coast League championships (9-6)…junior year finished 19th in pole vault at California State Indoor Championships (9-6i)…cleared a PR height of 11-3…third place at SCL meet (10-3)…seventh place at CIF-SS meet at 10-3 after prelim clearance at 11-0…as a senior, set a pole vault PR with vault of 12-0 for fourth place at CIF-SS DII final…seventh at CIF-SS Masters meet with pole vault of 11-7…no height at CIF State Championships.
 
Personal:
Born in Laguna Hills, Calif. to Kurt and Lisa Scharmann… Dad rowed at UC Irvine… Older brother Kelby played golf at LaVerne and was individual medalist at 2015 NCAA DII Golf Championship… Older sister Emily is a member of UCLA cross country/track and field teams… Was a marching band drumline member all four years of high school… Majored in entrepreneurship at WSU and now working towards a Masters of Science in hospitality and tourism management at SDSU.
