Outdoor:
Placed tenth in the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 4x400m relay (3:33.42, 2nd in program history) and 26th in the 400 meters (53.79)... Earned a gold medal in the 4x400m relay (3:37.06, 3rd in school history) and a silver in the 400 meters (53.68) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships... Competed in seven meets... Took first in the 4x400m relay at the Sun Angel Classic (3:34.57, sixth in SDSU history) and the Desert Heat Classic (3:36.23)... Won the San Diego Challenge in the 800 meters (2:10.07) and got third in the Desert Heat Classic (2:07.74) in the same event... Finished first in the Aztec Invitational (53.91) and the Sun Angel Classic (53.51) in the 400 meters... Set a personal record in the 400 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays (53.35).

Indoor: Won the gold medal in the 4x400m relay (3:37.06) and the silver medal in the 400 meters (54.86) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships... Also competed in the Texas Tech Open, where she finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:39.44) and fifth in the 400 meters (54.79).

2020-21 Season:
Outdoor: Did not compete.

2019-20 Season:
XC: Competed in one event for the Aztecs…Set a collegiate career best in the 5k at the UC Riverside Invitational, finishing in 20:24.8.

Indoor: Roberson had a fantastic indoor season for the Aztecs, setting school records in the 600m, 4x400m relay and distance medley relay and earning All-American honors in the 4x400m relay.. Roberson and the 4x400m relay team shattered the program record with a time of 3:33.81 and won the Mountain West Indoor Championship (3:35.65)… The 4x4 team was the first Aztec squad to qualify for the NCAAs and the only non-power five team set to compete before the championships were canceled due to COVID-19… Set a school record in the 600m with a time of 1.29.84 while taking first place at the MLK Invitational (1-24-20)… Helped set a school record in the distance medley relay (11:53.85) at the MW Championships… Took second in the 400m at the Mountain West Championships with a personal best time of 53.81, the third best time in school history… Had a career best time of 2:10.35 in the 800m at the UW Invitational (2-1-20), the third best time in school history.

2018-19
Indoor: Helped SDSU set a school record and win the 4x400m relay at the MW Championships (3:39.52)... Finished fifth in the 400m (55.35) at the MW Championships after running a PR in the prelims (55.10)…Ran the distance medley at the MW Championships, helped SDSU finish 11th... Set a personal record at the MLK Invitational, running 1:32.32 in the 600m, the third fastest time in school history…Placed 11th at the UNM Collegiate Classic, setting a personal record in the 800m (2:17.81).

Outdoor: Helped SDSU win the 4x4 at the MW Championships (3:35.02) and earn the second best time in program history at the NCAA West prelims (3:33.48).…Took 11th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x400m... Earned bronze in the 800m at the MW Championships with a PR of 2:08.30... Set a new PR in the 400m with a fourth place finish at the MW Challenge (54.86).

2017-18
Cross Country: 
Competed in one race for the Aztecs, the NCAA West Regional ... Finished the 6K course in 29:50.5 for 241st.

Indoor Track & Field: Competed in two events at the UW Preview in Seattle on January 13th... Helped the Aztecs finish second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:44.91, the eighth best mark in school history... Also ran the 1,000m, finishing in 20th place (2:57.25).

Outdoor Track & Field: Competed at six meets, including the Bryan Clay Invitational where she set a SDSU record for freshman in the 800 (2:08.37), which is the eighth fastest time in school history... Ran in a pair of 4x400m relays, helping the Aztecs finish first at the Mountain West Challenge (3:42.32) and second at the Aztec Invitational (3:20.92)... Competed in the 400 meter dash once, finishing in 1:00.91, good for ninth place at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational... Finished in tenth in the 200 meter dash at the Mountain West Challenge (25.42)... Ran the 1,500m at the Triton Invite (46th place; 5:00.42).

At La Jolla High School
A four-year letterwinner at La Jolla High ... As a senior, was named the CIF San Diego Section Track Athlete of the Year and the Eastern League Female Track Athlete of the Year ... Finished fifth in the CIF State Championships in the 800 ... Her 2:09.38 time broke a school record and was one of the 10 best times in San Diego County history ... 2017 Eastern League champion in the 800m ... Ran club for the San Diego Cheetahs Youth Track and Field, earning 2013 Track Athlete of the Year honors following a fifth-place 800-meter finish in the AAU National Youth Championships ... Also played basketball.

Personal
Sakura Roberson was born on Oct. 30, 1999, in Kalamazoo, Mich. ... Grandmother is Deborah Roberson ... Has five sisters, Deyna, Sierra, Satori, Kenya and Darel ... Deyna competed for UCSD (2008-12) and SDSU (2012-13), winning three MW Track and Field championships (outdoor - 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay; indoor: 4x400m relay) ...  Plans to major in computer science and become a computer security specialist.
