2021: 17th (38:52.28 - 10,000m Run)

2021-22 Season:
Outdoor: Placed 14th and set a personal record at the Astro Al Distance Classic in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:07.54... Finished 13th in 4:37.43 in the 1,500 meters at the Aztec Invitational.

Indoor: Took 18th in the one mile run at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational (5:14.19).

XC: Participated in four 6k races including the Stump Invitational, where she posted a collegiate career best (21:00.9)… Finished in the top five among Aztecs at the Stump Invitational, Dave Murray Invitational and the NCAA West Regionals.

2020-21 Season:
XC: Competed in both of the Aztecs' 6k races, finishing in 22:02.1 at the Silver State Collegiate Challenge (14th) and in 22:05.3 at the Mountain West Championships (52nd)... Was second among Aztec runners in both races.

Outdoor: Competed in five different meets in four different distances… Finished 17^th in the 10,000m at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships with a time of 38:52.28… Ran a PR of 35:27.53 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 17), the fifth best time in program history… Also set PRs in the 1,500m (4:37.98), the 3,000m (10:15.02) and the 5,000m (17:34.01).


2019-20 Season:
XC: Competed in six events for the Aztecs…Finished top two for the Aztecs in every race competed in, and was the top finisher in five of the six races…Placed 59^th out of 89 in the Mountain West Championships (22:26.22)…Set a collegiate career best at the NCAA West Regional Championships, running a 21:44.5…Placed 36^th out of 200 at the Mark Covert Classic 5k, finishing 12 seconds past her career best with a time of 19:15.4.

Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2018-19 Season
XC: Competed in three races before missing the rest of the season with injury... Finished in the top two among Aztec runners in all three of her races... Was the first Aztec to finish at the Capital Cross Challenge 6k (22:30.0)... Was second among Aztecs at the Mark Covert Classic 5k (19:03.4) and at the UC Riverside Invitational 6k (21:47.0).

Indoor: Did not compete

Outdoor: Did not compete

High School/Club
Attended Steele Canyon High School where she was a three-time All-CIF selection... Set school records in the 800 (2:19.70), 1600 (5:07.00) and 3200 (11:24)... Grossmont league champ in the 1600 (2015, '16 & '17), 800 (2015 & '17) and 3200 (2018)... Four-time first team all-league honoree... Helped her team win the 2017 DII CIF Cross Country Championship... Helped Steele Canyon win the Grossmont League Championship all four years in both cross country and track... Named to the UT All-Academic Team three times... Received the following: Kiwanis Distinguished Award, Scholar Athlete of the Year Award and the Grossmont Conference CIF Sportsmanship Award... Also competed with the San Diego Cheetahs Youth Track Club where she set a club record in the 1,500m (4:54) at the San Diego Junior Olympic Championships.

Born in Chula Vista, Calif. to Karen and Robert Masar... Majoring in Environmental Engineering... Enjoys photography, surfing, hiking, knitting and crafting.
