Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor: Competed in one meet, the San Diego Collegiate Challenge, before the season was canceled due to COVID-19… Took eighth in the discus throw (130-11) and 10^th in the hammer throw (150-11).

2018-19
Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor: Competed in the hammer throw and discus in seven meets… Set personal records in both events at the MW Championships. Finished 13^th in the discus (148-2) and 17^th in the hammer throw (150-11).

2017-18
Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor: Competed in the discus throw at eight meets and in the shot put in five… Posted career-bests in both events at the Triton Invite: 143-3 in the discus and 39-9.25 in the shot put… Finished in 12^th in the discus throw at the MW Championships.

High School
Four-year varsity letterwinner at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. ... Two-time Buchanan Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year (2016-17), CIF State Championship competitor (2016-17) and CIF North Area champion in the discus, advancing to the state meet in the shot put in 2017 ... As a senior, was a team captain and was nominated for Buchanan's Female Athlete of the Year award. 

Personal
Cari Lynn Acosta was born to Nina and Joel Acosta ... Was also recruited by Oregon State, Colorado State, U.S. Military Academy and Fresno Pacific ... Majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in pre-physical therapy and plans to become a physical therapist after graduation.
