Following a standout collegiate swimming career, Noelle Harvey joins the San Diego State swim and dive program as an assistant coach.
A native of nearby Carlsbad, Harvey returns home to San Diego County after completing her collegiate eligibility at Nevada in the spring of 2025 following three successful seasons at Washington State from 2021-24.
While at WSU, Harvey logged eight top-10 times on the Cougars’ career performance list, where she is currently slotted third in the 100 backstroke, fourth in the 200 backstroke, fourth in the 500 freestyle, fifth in the 200 freestyle, eighth in the 100 freestyle, eighth in the 1,000 freestyle, eighth in the 1,650 freestyle, and 10th in the 50 freestyle.
As a junior, Harvey qualified for the CSCAA National Invitational Championships, where she swam on the Cougars’ victorious 200 freestyle relay team that set a then-school record of 1:30.59.
Prior to her junior campaign, Harvey was selected to Team USA squad that competed at the 2023 World University Games in Chengdu, China, where she earned a silver medal in the 800 freestyle relay.
In her lone season after relocating to Reno, Harvey helped Nevada to a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Mountain West Championships, where she won a pair of bronze medals on the Wolf Pack’s 200 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay teams.
Along with her success in the pool, Harvey excelled in the classroom, earning Mountain West all-academic honors and conference scholar-athlete recognition as member of the Nevada swim and dive program.
Harvey also received Pac-12 winter honor roll recognition on two occasions at WSU after garnering second-team CSCAA Scholar All-America accolades as a freshman.
A four-year letterwinner at La Costa Canyon High School, Harvey captured a CIF individual championship in the 200 freestyle as senior to go with a runner-up finish in the 200 backstroke. As a sophomore she helped the Mavericks to the CIF San Diego Section Division 2 title.
Harvey gained valuable experience during a five-year stint as coach at North Coast Aquatics in Carlsbad from 2019-24 and also spent time as the head development coach at Lakeridge Aquatics.
Harvey received her bachelor’s degree in the summer of 2025 from Nevada in kinesiology and human development.
