Good fielding catcher, who saw more time last season with two-year starter Molly Sturdivant having graduated in 2019 ... Has a good arm ... Is a good framer.

2020 SEASON - JUNIOR
Logged 13 appearances with nine starts at catcher ... Batted .250 (4-for-16) with an RBI, three runs, a double, two sacrifice hits and a stolen base, owning a .313 slugging percentage and a .250 on-base mark ... Was perfect in the field in 67 chances ... HIt .400 in home games, .286 in games as a starter and .286 in night games ... Had one multi-hit game and one multi-run game ... Had a double, run and a sacrifice bunt vs. Nicholls on Feb. 7 ... Had a RBI and a sac bunt vs. Villanova on Feb. 8 ... Was 1-for-1 as a starter at UC Riverside on Feb. 12 ... Had two hits and two runs vs. Southern Utah on Feb. 15 ... Stole a base vs. Boston Univ. on March 7.

2019 SEASON - SOPHOMORE
Saw action in 12 games with eight starts at catcher ...  Was 1-for-14 (.071) with a sacrifice bunt ... Was perfect in the field in 22 chances, throwing one runner out trying to steal ... In MW play was 0-for-1 with one start in three games ... Lone hit came in a start at catcher vs. Robert Morris on March 7 ... Final start of the season came at Nevada on April 6.

2018 SEASON - FRESHMAN
Played in 18 games in her first season, starting 12 games (nine at catcher and three as the designated player) ... Was 3-for-28 (.107) with two RBIs, a run, three walks and two times hit by a pitch, recording a .235 on-base percentage ... Committed just one error in 52 chances (.981) ... Was 1-for-12 (.083) with a walk and a .154 on-base percentage, and perfect fielding percentage in seven chances in Mountain West play ... Had one go-ahead RBI on the season ... Had an RBI in the team's first game of the season against No. 25/25 Georgia in her first plate appearance (sac fly) ... Earned her first start vs. North Dakota State on Feb. 16 ... Had a hit, RBI, run and walk in a start against No. 21/20 Minnesota on March 2 ... Also singled and walked against Nevada on Feb. 14.  

CLUB - FIRECRACKERS - BRASHEAR
Played her club ball for Firecrackers - Brashear under coach Sean Brashear.  

HIGH SCHOOL - WEST TORRANCE
Earned four letters at West Torrance High School in Torrance, Calif. ... Played both second base and at catcher for the Warriors ... According to MaxPreps, batted .348 (110-for-316) with five homers, 78 RBIs, 66 runs, 20 doubles, three triples and 31 walks, while owning a .425 on-base percentage and a .477 slugging mark ... Was first-team all-Pioneer League as a junior (2016) and senior (2017), and a second-team pick as a freshman (2014) and sophomore (2015) ... Was the league MVP as a senior ... Also a four-year scholar-athlete ... Also played on the team's volleyball team as a libero, including being named the defensive player of the year as a freshman.

Alizae Simatra Umi was born April 11, 1999, in Riverside, Calif. ... Daughter of Eliki and Shanna Umi ... Was also recruited by Oregon State, Louisville and CSUN ... Is majoring in criminal justice with plans to become forensic scientist or a firefighter when she graduates college.
