Earned four letters at Claremont High School in Claremont, Calif. ... Played shortstop, third base and catcher at CHS ... Was a first-team all-league selection in 2016, a second-team pick in 2017, and honorable mention selections in 2014 and 2015 ... Was a three-time captain ... Was chosen as the league defensive player of the year in 2016 while leading the league in home runs as well.
